With over 250,000 albums sold in Spain, Romeo is now making moves in the American scene. Since 2001, she’s been gaining fans worldwide, raking in multi-platinum sales and scoring a bunch of awards.
In 2005, she bounced to London, got into the drama scene, and picked up some dance moves. She also stepped up her songwriting game and dropped her third album, Serotonina. That year, she started her own label, VK 48 Music. In 2006, she released Serotonina, and her single “Conectado a mi” got a Platinum Award from MSN (Microsoft) for being the most downloaded single in MSN history. Romeo even snagged the “Golden Minute” in Spain, with 15 million viewers tuning in to watch her.
She’s all about being hands-on with her work, from laying down all her backing vocals to overseeing the instrument treatment and recording, all the way to the final mix. She moved to Miami and linked up with heavy hitters like Rodolfo Castillo, Iker Gastaminza, Dan Warner, Lee Levin, and started co-writing and collaborating with Nina Ossof, Elsten Torres, Jim Camacho, and John M Flacone. In January 2010, she made the move to Los Angeles.
